As a Behaviour Consultant, Daniel’s primary focus is to help families learn new skills to support their child’s challenging behaviours. He uses Positive Behaviour Support to teach them new skills, with the family-led goal of improving their overall quality of life.
Collaboration with families and teams is very important, and Daniel’s foundation in the sciences has allowed him to develop a “bigger picture” perspective when approaching them.
Daniel’s approach to families is grounded in the holistic Early Childhood Teaching philosophy principles derived from Reggio, Montessori, Froebel, Vygotsky, Bruner and Piaget. He believes in using the child’s strengths as a means to learn and incorporates the expertise of their families to create individualised Behaviour Support Plans.
