NDIS Key Workers
We provide practical services and support for children and their families, helping them to enjoy and use the time they spend together every day as learning opportunities.
We believe that families are the experts about their child. We as professionals come and go, but families are always an integral part of children’s lives. Our role is to support you with the information and skills to achieve the goals that are important to you, and to provide support and guidance in these early years when needed. We do this by working in partnership with you, using the Key Worker NDIS model.
Your family is at the heart of everything we do
Your key worker is backed by the whole team
Each Keyworker has the skills and experience of the whole Plumtree team behind them. This means that they can draw on the experience of their colleagues to provide the best care and support for your child.
We recognise that every family has their individual priorities so we tailor our sessions to your circumstances. Your Keyworker will listen to what you want to achieve and help you to identify goals and develop a plan for your child’s growth and development. She will work in partnership with your family to support your child’s goals while considering the needs of the whole family. This may include early childhood intervention services or educational programs in the home, at Plumtree, or at your child’s daycare, preschool or school. Your NDIS Keyworker will talk with you about what went well, what might be helpful next time and what to try in between visits.
Your therapist is also a Key Worker
Our staff have training in occupational therapy, speech pathology, special education, psychology and positive behaviour supports. They have also completed accredited Key Worker training. This means that they can easily switch roles from being your Therapist to being your Key Worker. This approach results in greater family empowerment and wellbeing, which leads to better outcomes for your child.
Your Key Worker can provide 5 types of support
Our highly qualified team members can provide you with information and skill relating to their professional background. In addition, they can provide 5 different kinds of support when you need them.
All professionals are in one place
Our team approach ensures you get the best outcome because all of the professionals are in one place. This can save time and money but above all, it supports a high-quality service for your child and family. We can add team members if it is needed.
