Let’s explore how to construct a social story to assist your child’s transition to school

Starting school is an exciting time for families as it marks the transition to formal schooling.

Social Stories can help prepare children for new situations, learn a new behaviour or cope with anxiety.

This session will assist you in writing an individualised social story child’s transition to school.

Come along to explore:

  • Carol Gray’s guidelines for putting social stories together
  • How to write social stories to prepare your child for school
  • How to write social stories to help your child better understand and navigate their world.

Everyone will walk away with a draft of their first social story for their child.

This program is for

Parents, primary carers and family members of children starting school in 2024/2025

We respect the diversity of families we work with.
