The Nest series: Inclusion—no one misses out
Inclusive early childhood education centres help children of all abilities build a strong emotional foundation for becoming a part of today’s diverse communities. Children celebrate each other’s successes and transcend communication barriers; children with disabilities model social and other real-world skills to become active and valued community members.
In this webinar, parents with children attending inclusive early childhood education settings will discuss their experiences and what ‘inclusive’ looks like.
We will explore:
- What inclusion means for all children
- Children learning about different cultures
- Children of all abilities learning and playing together
- How to ensure that children with disability or developmental delay are included and receive appropriate care and support at the early childhood education centres.
Hear from our panel of professional staff and ask questions. The webinar is facilitated by Plumtree’s trained parent peer workers with lived experience in raising a child with disability.
For parents, family members and carers of children aged 2–6 years old.
Please note that this series is primarily targeted at parents; however, Early Childhood Professionals are also welcome to attend.
