Topics this program includes:
- Understanding how your child communicates now and the next steps to support their growth
- Discovering how your child learns best and using their strengths to your advantage
- Creating fun, engaging interactions during everyday activities
- Extending interactions to increase learning opportunities
- Speaking in ways that help your child better understand you
- Strategies to develop your child’s play and social skills
Program overview
More Than Words is a 12-week online program that includes:
- One pre-program individual consultation with a Hanen-certified speech pathologist to assess your child and set communication goals.
- Eight weekly online group sessions, each lasting 2.5 hours.
- Three individual video feedback sessions for parents—during these sessions, you and your child will be recorded while playing. Then, you’ll review the recording with the speech pathologist to see what’s working and adjust strategies to better support your child.
