Develop essential skills for school with Plumtree’s fun and practical school readiness program
This fun and dynamic program has been developed by a team of experienced speech pathologists, occupational therapists and teachers. The program focuses on supporting your child and your family to transition to school successfully.
Suitable for children entering mainstream Kindergarten in 2023.
The groups will focus on developing the following school readiness skills:
- Listening and speaking skills
- Following instructions and answering questions
- Pre-literacy skills, including rhyming and letter-sound awareness
- Fine motor skills, including pencil grip, drawing, writing and cutting
- Problem-solving and developing independence
- Social skills, including making friends, initiating conversation and turn-taking
- Attention and concentration

This program is for
Children with disability, developmental delay or neurodivergence starting mainstream Kindergarten in 2023.

When
Parents must stay on-site during each session.
Tuesday 17 January; Wednesday 18 January; Tuesday 24 January & Wednesday 25 January; all sessions 9.30am to 11am AEST/Sydney time
Each session will consist of face-to-face group time with children, with some time in the end with parents and carers to discuss goals and feedback. Parents are required to stay on-site for the duration of the group.

Groups are subject to cancellation due to low RSVP.

Cost
Total cost $906.15
This price is based on four participants and will reduce for larger groups (maximum of eight participants).
Children are expected to attend all four sessions. Full payment is required, and any missed sessions cannot be refunded. Cancellation as per the service agreement.
The cost of the program can be covered using:
– NDIS funding
– Private Payment

Where
The program will be conducted face-to-face at our Marrickville centre.
