Explore the lifelong benefits of inclusive education for children with disability
The Let’s Get Started: Getting Ready for School and Life workshop will be presented for Plumtree by Family Advocacy.
Do you have a son or daughter with disability or developmental delay who will be starting school in the next couple of years or has recently started school?
Are you interested in them going to a mainstream school – an ordinary class with children of their own age?
The Let’s Get Started – Getting Ready for School and Life workshop aims to help you start planning a positive future and looking at what is needed to achieve an inclusive education
- Family Advocacy and how they can be useful to you
- The education system
- Inclusion- what does that mean?
- Possible supports in the school system
- Relationship and communication with the school;
- Practical strategies, tips and ideas to assist in planning a positive future.
For parents, family members and primary carers of children with disability, developmental delay or neurodivergent aged 3-7 years old.
At this stage, we don’t have the capacity to accommodate professionals in this session.

This workshop is for parents, primary cares and family members of children with disability or delays only. Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity for professionals in this session. If you are a professional, please feel free to share any of our calendar information with families you might be working with.
To get the best learning experience from this session, we encourage your involvement and interaction.
