During this webinar, our panel of educators will discuss how drawing offers children opportunities in master pencil control, stimulating imagination and improving cognitive planning.

A child’s drawing changes over time from continuous horizontal and vertical lines to circles, and then to lots of shorter lines and more controlled marks. This is done with many different grips as they learn to hold a pencil, master their control of it and experiment using their imagination.

What we will explore:

  • How parents can engage in and enjoy the play experience with their child
  • Understanding how drawing offers multiple learning opportunities
  • How drawing connects with other play experiences to help children making sense of the world around them
  • How drawing is linked to expression of the imagination and thoughts, development of fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination, and more

Join us to hear from the panel, ask questions and share your drawing experience.
