A three-step program for calm, effective and happy parenting

1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching is a three-session, evidence-based program designed to teach parents ways to better manage their children’s behaviour, building their children’s emotional resourcefulness.
It encourages a calm approach to parenting, even in challenging moments, and shows parents how to redirect behaviour and improve their relationship with their children.

Learn about

  • A strategy for encouraging good behaviour
  • Emotion coaching to support self-regulation
  • How to better handle challenging and testing behaviours

This course is for

Parents, primary carers and family members of children with disability, developmental delay or neurodivergence aged 3-12 years old. Priority will be given to families of children with disabilities or developmental delays. 

At this stage, we do not have the capacity to accommodate professionals in this course. If you are a professional, please feel free to share any of our calendar information with the families you are working with.

Course Focus

Parenting awareness, behaviour challenges, emotional management


Course schedule

3 x weekly online sessions; 2 hours each;
plus an optional Catch-up session at a later date.
It is required that parents/carers be available to attend all three core sessions.

From Tuesday 26  July to  Tuesday 9 August
7.30pm to 9.30pm AEST/Sydney time

Cost

A small contribution of $20 per family will be required to cover the cost
of the Parent Workbook (not eBook) participants will need to attend this course. This fee will also cover postage.

This contribution is non-refundable once the Parent Workbook has been posted. If you are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to pay this fee, please contact Mana at mana@plumtree.org.au

Your facilitator

Plumtree’s workshops and courses are facilitated by members of our therapy team, guest speakers or our trained parent peer workers, who are raising a child with a disability or delay. 

The course is facilitated by Melo, Peer facilitator.

Certificate of Completion To get the best learning experience from this program, we encourage your involvement and interaction during each session. For attendees needing a certificate of attendance, we require the camera to be during all three core sessions to confirm attendance and engagement in each session.
