A three-step program for calm, effective and happy parenting

1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching is a three-session, evidence-based program designed to teach parents ways to better manage their children’s behaviour, building their children’s emotional resourcefulness.

It encourages a calm approach to parenting, even in challenging moments, and shows parents how to redirect behaviour and improve their relationship with their children.

Learn about

  • A strategy for encouraging good behaviour
  • Emotion coaching to support self-regulation
  • How to better handle challenging and testing behaviours

This program is for

Parents, primary carers and family members of children aged 3-12 years
Priority will be given to families of children with disabilities or developmental concerns for their child.
While 1-2-3 Magic & Emotion Coaching is not a disability-specific program, it will provide families with an opportunity to use the approach to their child’s specific needs.

When

3x weekly online sessions; 2 hours each, plus an optional catch-up session
It is required that parents/carers be available to attend all seven core sessions.
From Monday 7 November to Monday 21 November7.30pm to 9.30pm AEST/Sydney

Sessions are subject to cancellation due to low RSVP. Sessions are subject to cancellation due to low RSVP – Minimum of 4 RSVPs. Your confirmation is required.

This event will be delivered online via Zoom.
Zoom details will be emailed after confirmation of attendance is complete.

Cost

A small contribution of $20 per family will be required to cover the cost of the Parent Workbook participants will need to attend this course. This fee will also cover postage.
This contribution is non-refundable once the Parent Workbook has been posted. If you are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to pay this fee, please contact Mana at mana@plumtree.org.au

Your facilitator

Plumtree’s workshops and courses are facilitated by members of our therapy team, guest speakers or our trained parent peer workers, who are raising a child with a disability or delay. 
Circle of Security will be facilitated by Melo Kalemkeridis, peer worker

Parent Manual Parent Manuals will be posted once the minimum requirement of RSVP has been reached. If the course was not to go ahead, the Parent Manual fee will be refunded.
Certificate of CompletionTo get the best learning experience from this program, we encourage your involvement and interaction during each session. For attendees needing a certificate of attendance, we require the camera to be during all sessions to confirm attendance and engagement in each session.
