Self-managing your child’s NDIS plan: in conversation with Sam Paior

In May 2018, Plumtree ran our first ever webinar, for current and alumni members of the Now and Next program.

Sylvana Mahmic, Plumtree CEO, in conversation with special guest speaker, Sam Paior from The Growing Space in South Australia.

Sam is a solo mum to teenage boys, one with intellectual disability. She has worked as a Parliamentary Advisor, Public Speaker, Access Consultant, Advocate and Inclusion Supporter for a decade.

In 2007, she founded The Growing Space and also provides Support Coordination through the NDIS since its launch.

In this session Sam shares:
– Her experience of self-managing for her son
– Tips for self-management/plan management of NDIS funding, including what is reasonable and necessary.
