This group aims to develop your child’s motor and social skills and build family networks
Use movement and music to facilitate the development of gross motor and fine motor skills.
This dynamic program uses music and movement to boost your child’s motor and social skills. It combines fun, structured activities that enhance fine motor skills, coordination, balance, and communication while also fostering independence and emotional regulation. Parents will also have the opportunity to build connections with other families.
Learning outcomes include:
- Individual motor skills, such as hand control, motor planning, balance and coordination
- Fine motor skills
- Social skills, including turn-taking, waiting, choice-making and communication
- Problem-solving and independence
- Potential in making friends, initiating conversation, turn-taking and managing emotions
Program overview
Music & Movement is a 4x session over four consecutive days.
Each session comprises approximately 45 minutes of activities with children and 15 minutes with parents and carers to discuss goals and feedback. For families of children with disability, developmental delays or concerns about their development aged 0-8.
This group is held indoors so that it will go ahead no matter the weather.
When
Held during the school holidays. Dates TBC.
Parents/carers must stay on-site during the program. A waiting room will be available to minimize noise and distractions.
Where
The program will be conducted face-to-face at our Marrickville centre.

Children are expected to attend all four sessions.
Full payment is required. Missing the session cannot be refunded. Cancellation as per the service agreement.
The cost of the program can be covered using:

Facilitators
An experienced early childhood teacher and a behavioural consultant will facilitate this program.
