Create opportunities for communication and interaction through musical fun.
Music Together offers opportunities for communication and interaction. Children learn social play skills such as turn-taking and sharing while being part of a group and following an enjoyable routine.
This playgroup provides musical fun in a relaxed setting, while also supporting children’s development.
The sessions include singing, playing percussion instruments, dancing and stories with a focus on interaction and communication.
Benefits of Music Together:
- Opportunities to connect with other families and share ideas and information, including the value of play and early childhood education
- Musical play gives children chances to communicate verbally and non-verbally and explore and be creative through playing instruments, dancing and singing.
- The children can experience following simple instructions in a fairly informal, play-based session.
- Follow a set routine each week so children can become familiar and confident with what to expect.
Who is this playgroup for
Music Together is for children aged 3-5 who may have a disability, developmental delay, neurodivergence, or concerns about their development.
Nevertheless, we warmly welcome all children aged 3-5, encouraging an inclusive environment. Parents, Grandparents and siblings are also welcome to join.
We value diversity and welcome all families.
When
Weekly online sessions; 45 minutes each;
From Wednesday, 23 October to Wednesday, 11 December;
10am to 10.45am AEST/Sydney time.
We understand that things come up unexpectedly, but we kindly ask families to commit to the term or let us know if plans change. This way, we can offer the opportunity to other families waiting to join.
