Information regarding NDIA changes
There are some important changes and good news from the NDIA that we want to share with you.
NDIS plans remain intact during COVID-19
You don’t have to worry about your NDIS plan ending during the disruption being caused by COVID-19.
- If your child’s NDIS Review meeting is due, check with your Early Childhood Early Intervention Partner (ECEI) or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) to ask for the meeting to go ahead by phone or online.
- If your plan is due to end soon and you have not been contacted, it will be automatically extended for 365 days.
- If you have a plan review scheduled, you will be called on the phone. You can ask to have your plan extended for up to 24 months if you do not want any changes.
The NDIS website has full details of the changes at their COVID-19 information and support page.
No change to our cancellation policy
Plumtree will continue to have a 48-hour cancellation policy. The NDIA has a policy which allows organisations to charge a fee if an appointment is not cancelled 2 business days before the scheduled date.
We understand that planning ahead may be difficult in these challenging times. We won’t charge a cancellation fee if you contact us 24 hours before an appointment. You and your staff member can also be ready ahead for cancellations by talking about what they can do instead. Refer to our flyer ‘What happens if my child is sick’ for more information.
Please get in touch as soon as possible if it looks like you cannot attend a session.
We understand that you may have questions about these changes and how they relate to you. We are here to answer your questions. Please speak with your key worker or get in touch.
Plumtree is here to continue to support you and your child.
